OTTAWA — Franklin County Convention and Tourism is feeling the pinch of the bad economy as people hunker down and stay home.  Tourism director Kristi Lee told county commissioners that because the bureau is largely financed through the county’s motel tax, and motels have seen lower occupancy rates last year, the bureau is cinching its belt tighter.  Lee said the agency kept its budget flat for next year but is looking at a $20,000 shortfall.  She said she’s looking at a variety of cuts.
