OTTAWA — When three employees at the American Eagle distribution center at Ottawa died earlier this year, other employees decided to do more than send sympathy cards – they sold T-shirts. American Eagle employees bought more than 400 T-shirts honoring Buffy Thompson, Maria Lear and Matt Noblet in less than a month. American Eagle’s Marie Rossi said the money from the T-shirt sales was given to Special Olympics in their names. Rossi and Jason Sabharwall presented a check for $2,500 to Special Olympics.
