OSAWATOMIE – The Osawatomie Volunteer Fire Department water rescue was called to find missing Franklin County boaters but barely got the boat wet. Some Franklin County boaters on the Marais des Cygnes River were reported as missing Sunday. The Osawatomie Fire Department said the fire fighters were preparing to launch a search boat into river at the Osawatomie power plant, when they heard that the boaters were located safe in the Ottawa area.
