GARNETT — Susan Wettstein of Garnett recently completed a rural tourism class conducted by the Kansas Sampler Foundation. The two-day class included a representative from Baldwin City. The class included a discussion of rural tourists and how to attract them, and using the Internet for tourism. The class is funded by a $50,000 state tourism grant. Because Wettstein attended the class, Garnett will get a free community page on the new “Rural Kansas: Come and Get it” Web site.
