OTTAWA — Ottawa city commissioners agreed Monday to issue more than $2.9 million in bonds to build a new water tower on East Wilson Street on the northeast edge of the city. City finance officer Scott Bird said that because of favorable issue rates, the bond issue will cost the city $45,000 less than expected.
