BALDWIN CITY — A 31-year-old Baldwin City woman was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident southeast of Lawrence. The Kansas Highway Patrol said 46-year-old Mark Von Schlemmer was driving south on County Road 1055. Troopers said Kristen Bymacek was also driving on 1055 when she tried to make a U-turn at East 1600 Road and was struck by Von Shlemmer’s pickup. She was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Troopers said she had possible injuries. Von Schlemmer wasn’t injured.
