OTTAWA – Lightning caused an oil tank battery fire early this morning at John Brown Road and Utah Road near Lane. Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison Fire Chief Jim Stonequist, among several rural firefighters called to fight the fire, said the damage was confined to the tank battery. There was some spilled crude oil which firefighters were cleaning up.
