CENTRAL HEIGHTS — Central heights High Cchool students performed volunteer service in each of the four towns in the school district. Student Council sponsor Brenda Wadkins told the Anderson County Review that the students came up with the idea last year and decided to volunteer again this year. The senior class worked on the ballpark in Princeton, cleaned up along U.S. 59 and the Princeton Christian Church and painted buildings. The junior class went to Richmond and cleaned, weeded and raked at the museum, Richmond Healthcare Center, Methodist church and city hall. The sophomore class went to Lane and did a general cleanup throughout the town and then painted fences and farm work at New horizon Ranch therapeutic riding center. The freshman class went to Rantoul where they winterized some dog houses for a few elderly residents, cleaned up at the Rantoul Community Church and at a trailer park, and washed the fire truck.
