OTTAWA — County administrator Lisa Johnson said that the county has filed eminent domain papers in district court. The county is seeking to take land owned by Raymond Rumford for an improvement project on Montana Road north of Sand Creek Road. The first hearing will be in early November. Independent appraisers are scheduled to submit reports in late November but Johnson said that may be delayed because of Thanksgiving. The county wants to upgrade Montana Road between a new U.S. 59 interchange and Sand Creek Road.
