OTTAWA — The Ottawa City Commission honored the Over the Road Gang at Wednesday night’s city meeting. Among its many contributions to the community, the car club gave the city money to make many of the Forest Park shelter houses more wheelchair-friendly. City manager Richard Nienstedt said the city has been building sidewalks and ramps in the park to make the park more accessible. The work has been delayed by rain but he said he expects most of the shelter houses to be done by next spring.”
