GREELEY — Ervin Bauer has been moved his Rawhide Arena to Greeley. A horseman for nearly all 72 years of his life, Bauer started Rawhide Arena in Urich, Mo. He told the Anderson County Review that he knew the Greeley and Garnett area and many Anderson County ranchers attended his events in Missouri. He jumped at the chance to move to Anderson County by buying the D&M Cattle Arena in Greeley. Events at the arena include team roping, mutton bustin’, ranch rodeos, Mo-Kan youth rodeos and Christian Youth Association activities. The arena will also offer Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs and weekend retreats for families. Bauer is also creating a day camp for handicapped children with a petting zoo and pony rides. A ranch rodeo will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the arena, 31983 N.E. Utah Road. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Kids under 5 are free. There’s a web site at www.rawhidearena.com.
