ATCHISON — Law officers and community volunteers in Atchison County have been conducting a search in northeast Kansas this week for a missing 58-year-old rural Atchison County woman. Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Tim McCool told the Topeka Capital-Journal that there is strong evidence that Patricia Kimmi was kidnapped and was injured when she was taken. Kimmi disappeared Sunday, which was the second anniversary of the sudden death of her 11-year-old granddaughter. McCool said the Northeast Kansas Major Case Squad is looking at 75 leads in her disappearance.
