KANSAS CITY — The Kansas City Star reports that U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore won’t run for re-election. The paper said Moore will likely announce his plans today. Democrat Moore angered the Republican Party by consistently winning in the heavily-Republican district dominated by Johnson County. If he chooses to step down, it will likely set off a land-rush of Republican candidates seeking the post.
