OTTAWA — There was a new seat at the table at the Ottawa City Commission’s study session Monday. It was occupied by Darah Jorgensen, daughter of Ottawa Mayor Blake Jorgensen. Darah Jorgensen is a member of the Ottawa Youth in Government program. As part of an experiment, teens in the program will sit with government entities such as the city commission, school board and library trustees and serve as liaisons to younger citizens and serve as advisors. The teens won’t vote but they’ll otherwise participate in the meetings.
