PAOLA — Paola’s annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony will begin at 5 Friday night at Park Square, with the actual tree lighting about 6. The Paola High School band, Madrigal Singers and Margo Rodewald will perform before the tree lighting. Santa Slaus will arrive after the tree lighting. The chamber of commerce’s Sweets with Santa will be Saturday morning from 9 to 11:30. If you attend, you’re asked to donate to the Paola Association for Church Action.
