OTTAWA — It’s open season on H1N1 swine flu vaccinations. Franklin County Health Department director Midge Ransom said she has enough vaccine this week to offer free vaccinations to anyone on a first-come, first-serve basis. The swine flu vaccination clinic will be 4 to 7 Thursday afternoon in the Franklin County Commission room at the annex. Parents of children under age 10 who need their second dose should call to make sure there has been enough time before the children get it. At least 30 days must have elapsed before the second vaccination can be given, she said. There is now some seasonal flu vaccine available for adults, she said. Seasonal flu vaccinations will be available Friday afternoon from 1 to 3:30. The price is $29, and can be paid with cash, Medicaid and Medicare only.
