LOUISBURG — Charise and Dan Cardwell of Louisburg hope they’re on a roll. After winning a top prize of $5,000 on a $1 Quick Crossword scratch ticket over the weekend, they’re hoping to win more in the Kansas Lottery’s Holiday Millionaire raffle drawing on New Year’s Eve. Charise Cardwell bought the $1 Quick Crossword ticket from a Louisburg convenience store almost as an afterthought. The Cardwells had discussed taking a cruise. She said there’s no doubt they’re going on the cruise now.
