TOPEKA–If you stay in a hotel in Kansas and it seems run down…it may be due to the fact the state can no longer do safety and sanitation inspections. The Kansas Department of Agriculture recently had over $300,000 cut from its budget, forcing it to temporarily suspend inspections. The Department says all currently licensed facilities have been inspected, but future inspections are on hold.
