OTTAWA — One group of students were hoping today’s winter storm wouldn’t cancel classes – at least in Goodland. Ottawa High School principal Rick Johnson and athletic director Brad Graf had been watching the weather reports in western Kansas and talking to Goodland High School officials before the Cyclone basketball teams were to head to the Topside Tipoff Tournament in Goodland. The teams departed shortly after noon. They’ll begin play Thursday afternoon.
