OLATHE — A 21-year-old Paola woman was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center Monday afternoon after a crash on I-35 just north of 119th Street in Olathe.
Kelley Diane Wheeler of Paola was driving on the inside lane of I-35 when she was passing a car driven by Michael Pearce, 27, Kansas City, Mo. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Pearce moved into Wheeler’s lan, striking her car. Troopers said Wheeler’s car hit the median barrier wall and rolled twice and came to rest in the roadway. She wasn’t wearing any safety restraints, troopers said. The hospital said she was treated and released. Pearce wasn’t injured.
