OTTAWA — An Ottawa man accused of aggravated kidnapping, domestic battery and intimidation of a witness and other charges will get a third lawyer in the case. The second attorney for Levi Houston, attorney William Walker, has withdrawm because he said the relationship with his client had deteriorated. Previously, his first attorney Sue DeVoe had also withdrawn because she said she had differences with her client. The new attorney is Frederick Meier. The case had been set originally for trial in November, but because of the repeated delays, no new trial date has yet been set. Houston is scheduled to appear in Franklin County District Court this afternoon with his new attorney. Houston is accused of kidnapping, threatening and physically abusing his girlfriend, including throwing her into a pond; and attempting to discourage their children from testifying against him. One of his dogs was shot when it attack officers trying to arrest him.
