OTTAWA — The city staff and an energy consultant from ConEdison studied energy use at city facilities and presented a list of energy savings to the city commission Monday afternoon: The list included about $700,000 in energy improvements. Most of the cost was for a new condenser unit at city hall but also included a recommendation for changing the older fluorescent bulbs in most city buildings. The commissioners will continue their discussion Jan. 4 and decide what they’d like to put at the top of the list, said city manager Richard Nienstedt.
