OTTAWA — The Ottawa Recreation Commission has picked an architect and construction manager for a new recreation center next to Eisenhower School and recreation director Theron Diechmann says some conceptual designs may be ready early next year. The most common request from the public was for an indoor
walking track and that will likely be included in the proposal, he said. The proposal will also likely include a special indoor artificial turf floor, which allows a wide variety of outdoor sports and activities to be done inside at the new center, offering more flexibility than a standard hard-wood floor, he said.
