TOPEKA – Gov. Mark Parkinson has appointed two area women to the board of the Northeast Kansas Regional Library System. Karen Gibson, Ottawa, is a media specialist for the West Franklin schools. Jean Trail, Paola, was reappointed. The board is responsible for the training of librarians and library trustees, cooperation among libraries and improving library services.
