OTTAWA — A special committee of city officials and pilots has selected Loyd Builders and Devore and Associates of Ottawa to handle a project that will rebuild the storm-battered Ottawa airport. The committee reviewed proposals offered by three groups, said city commissioner Gene Ramsey, who served on the committee. He asked fellow commissioners to approve the selection at their study session on Monday. Once the proposal clears the planning and zoning processs and construction begins, the main airport building should be completed in October, he said. The airport’s main building was severely damaged by the July windstorm.
