OTTAWA — The Ottawa downtown is about to get bronzed. Ottawa Main Street director Katy Boothe said her group will make and install bronze plaques on some of the most historically significant buildings downtown this year. The project had been under way for several months but got a jump-start when building owners decided to pay for the plaques themselves, she said. The plaques are being manufactured and should be completed with a next month or two, she said. A walking tour and brochure describing the buildings and their histories is being developed, she said.
