POMONA–Pomona Mayor Joanne Hancock says there’s a double standard in her dispute with the rest of the City Council over her attempt to suspend Zoning Administrator Doug Combs. The dispute apparently centers around Combs living in Baldwin, not Pomona. Hancock says state law requires city employees to live in the town they work for. The other Council Members say Hancock’s action was not valid, and were advised by an attorney to either reinstate Combs or remove him from his position. Hancock has filed a lawsuit against the other Council Members…she says other Council Members have ridden ATV’s through town, and there has been Drinking and Driving incidents by certain Council Members….showing they don’t live by their own rules.
