TOPEKA — Former north Ottawa state representative Tom Holland said he is considering a run for governor. Democrat Holland has been a state senator for Douglas and Jefferson counties after he upset Republican senator Roger Pine. Holland is a business owner from Baldwin City. He says he’ll decide soon whether he’ll run. If he runs, he would be the likely challenger to U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, who is stepping down to run and would be the most likely Republican candidate. The only other Democratic candidate is Herbert West, Paola, a man the Kansas Democratic Party doesn’t want.
