OTTAWA — Joe Rich’s send-off Wednesday was one of the most successful blood drives for the Franklin County Red Cross. Red Cross’s Bev Kerbs said the goal was 85 units and the drive collected 100. The Red Cross honored Rich who is retiring after 10 years of coordinating the Red Cross blood drives in Ottawa. Rich said he still intends to show up and donate blood if he’s physically able to get there.
