GARNETT–What does Garnett and Greensburg have in common? How about making sure both towns can recover from adversity? The Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual banquet on February 3 at the Garnett VFW. The guest speaker is Daniel Wallach. He lives in Greensburg, and has been a leader in the Green Movement and the rebuilding of Greensburg following the disastrous tornado of 2007. Wallach has been recognized by the Department of Energy and other agencies for his work in sustainable disaster recovery. The banquet again is February 3…the social begins at 6:30 pm with dinner at 7. Tickets are $16 each.
