GARNETT — Garnett could raise its prices for natural gas later this year. City manager Joyce Martin said the price the city is paying for natural gas and running it through pipelines has been going up. She said the city has been dipping out its gas fund reserve. Martin said the gas fund is in good shape but the city may have to look at raising rates. She said she won’t recommend raising rates right now while the demand for natural gas is so high. Any change will most likely occur when temperatures rise and demand falls, she said.
