PAOLA — A 34-year-old Paola man was one of 20 people arrested in massive multi-county meth raids in southeastern Kansas this week. Gary Eugene Green was charged with one count of conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance and eight counts of using communications to help manufacture of a controlled substance. His bond is $50,000. Law officers raided several locations in several counties including Paola. Kansas Attorney General Steve Six said the people are suspected of being involved in the manufacture and sale of methamphetamine. One of the other 20 people charged in the raids was Darin Russell Lansdown of Iola, who was shot by KBI agents last week.
