OTTAWA — The Ottawa Herald has received the Burton Marvin news award from Kansas University’s William Allen White Foundation. The newspaper won the award for its series on the struggles of the local economy. The Kansas City Star also received the award for large newspapers for its investigation human trafficking in the region.
