OTTAWA — Work on the new Love’s Travel Center will soon begin south of I-35 and U.S. 59. City manager Richard Nienstedt said bids have come in lower than expected and construction is ready to begin at the site. Another proposed travel center at I-35 and K-68 is close to begin construction and the new centers should be economic pump primers, he said.
