WELLSVILLE — Rural firefighters contained a chimney fire to the attic Monday afternoon. The fire occurred to a home in the 3700 block of Thomas Road near wellsville. Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison fire chief Jim Stonequist said firefighters from his department and the Wellsville Fire Department were on the scene quickly and did a good job of containing the fire to the attic of the two-story structure. Damage was minimal, Stonequist said.
