GARNETT — It may be several more weeks before a state board recommends whether to reinstate the law license of former Anderson County attorney Fred Campbell. Campbell’s application for reinstatement was heard Jan. 26 by a panel of three attorneys. Campbell had been suspended for six months but after more than a year he has yet to receive his license back. He was suspended after he showed edited photos of a 2007 teen beer bash to the parents of teens who attended. Some photos showed two teens engaged in a sex act. Campbell said he showed the photos to parents to help prevent other beer bashes but state officials ruled that Campbell victimized the girl shown in the sex act. The Kansas Supreme Court will make the final decision in the case.
