GARNETT–Garnett will officially be 150 years old October 7, 2011…but planning is already underway for the celebration. The Garnett Tourism Committee recently hosted the first Garnett 150 Meeting. Some ideas for celebrating include asking local newspapers to provide a weekly column highlighting history of Garnett organizations, churches, famous persons and landmarks.
