OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie Volunteer Fire Department received a report Friday an oil spill into the Marais des Cygnes Rver near Osawatomie at 327th and Pressonville roads. Firefighters traced the oil slick on the river to an oil lease, the department said. Lease employees stopped the leak. The department notified the Kansas Eepartment of Health and Environment and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
