OTTAWA — The city will solicit bids for building a new sewer lift station in northeastern Ottawa. Commissioners decided Monday to seek bids for the project. The system needs improvements because the area is outgrowing its capacity, said city manager Richard Nienstedt. The state has offered to pay 15 percent of the project’s costs with economic stimulus funds.
