OSAWATOMIE — A Louisburg-based foundation has given $1,000 to Osawatomie schools to be used to help needy students. Osawatomie counselor Joy Mildfelt told the Osawatomie Journal that the money has been used to buy glasses for one student, shoes for other students and to help pay college tuition for one student. The money came from the Grade Foundation, which was created by Chad Mathis. Mathis has held clothing drives for several area youth agencies and has donated to Louisburg and Osage City schools.
