OTTAWA — Franklin County administrator Lisa Johnson said a county salt spill in Rantoul has been cleaned up and is being settled between a property owner and the county’s insurer. Commissioner Don Hay asked Johnson about the accident at the commission meeting Wednesday. Johnson said the driver was driving through Rantoul while county crews were battling a recent blizzard when he ran off the road during a white-out and the truck turned over. Commissioner Don Stottlemire was at the accident and he said the truck was unloaded, rolled back over and resumed salt runs shortly after the accident.
