GARNETT — Garnett police said one juvenile has been arrested and a second juvenile is a suspect in the vandalism and burglary of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett. Garnett chief of police John Leinweber said all the property stolen from the Feb. 20 burglary has been recovered. He estimated the value of the items recovered at more than $30,000. Besides the thefts, vandals sprayed a fire extinguisher inside the church, damaging carpets, walls and the altar. They also broke religious statues outside the church.
