TOPEKA–Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson has been forced into making more budget cuts because of the downward spiraling state deficit. Among other things, Parkinson will transfer 25 million dollars from the Highway Fund to the General Fund. This means the Kansas Department of Transportation will have to cancel nearly all maintenance projects that have yet to be started in 2010 and 2011.
