OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie Volunteer Fire Department may be glad for the rain forecast for today and Tuesday. The department was called to at least five grass, hay or crop fires last week, including two on Friday in which controlled burns got out of control because of high winds. One of the fires, which was along John Brown Road, crossed three property lines and burned 20 acres and 15 round bales before it was contained.
