TOPEKA–Kansas must do several things if it wants to become a leader in the new energy economy. That’s the finding of the Governor’s Energy Policy Subcabinet in a report released by Lieutenant Governor Troy Findley. The report says the state has come a long way in building up energy opportunities, but listed several steps to be taken to fully realize the energy potential. These include taking proactive steps to promote renewable energy development in working to attract new green companies to Kansas. Another step is to increase the use of wind energy. A final step is to fully incorporate water planning as part of energy planning in the future.
