LOUISBURG–Sports for Louisburg 7th graders was suspended a few months ago, but the controversy over that decision hasn’t died down. At a recent school board meeting, local optometrist Andy Hill told the Board that the community had no idea and no forewarning that the program would be dropped. He said if parents had been given notice, the board room would have been packed at the next meeting. He says that students have been going to Johnson County to be in sports.
