GARNETT — The candidates will debate Thursday night at 7 at the Anderson County High School auditorium in Garnett. The Anderson County Farm Bureau and the Garnett Business and Professional Women will host the political forum. County Commissioner Dean Register will face off against his Republican challenger Jim Johnson. Other candidates include state representatives Bill Feuerborn and Bill Otto, who are unopposed, and Congressional Libertarian candidate Robert Garrard, and representatives of the Future of Anderson County Education, who support the $14.5 million school bond issue.
