LENEXA — The company that’s developing a commercial wind farm in southern Anderson County is planning to build a 200-megawatt wind farm in Elk County, in south-central Kansas. Tradewind Energy, Lenexa, said the electricity will be sold to the Tennessee Valley Authority. The electricity produced by the wind project will provide power for the equivalent of 60,000 homes. The company is still looking for utilities to buy power from the proposed Deer Creek wind farm between Bush City and Kincaid.
