LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas Natural History Museum will hold a three-day Sciencepalooza Saturday, then Nov. 3 and 5. The festival of food, music and science will provide money for renovating museum exhibits and hands-on education programs. On the menu: “Tapas and Tours” 6:30 p.m. at the museum. Tickets are $75. The night features savory hors d’oeuvres that represent the international locations of KU biodiversity research, including the Philippines, Venezuela, Peru, Mongolia, Libya and Egypt. The event includes special behind-the-scenes tours with museum curators and opportunities to “adopt” specimens from the collections. “The Science of Beer,” at the Free State Brewing Company, 1927 Moodie Road, Lawrence, on 7 p.m. Nov. 3. Tickets are $60. That includes some samples. The Irish rock band, the Elders, will be in concert with True North on 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at Liberty Hall in Lawrence. General admission tickets are $25.
