PAOLA — It’s after Halloween but here’s a Halloween question for you – what do you do with a dead cow? Miami County Extension agent Mike Epler offers you the answer with a class on cow composting Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the Paola Livestock Auction. Joel Derushie, Kansas State animal science researcher, will give the class and talk about techniques and a legal and regulatory primer regarding cattle composting. The class is free and open to the public. Because there will be a free light meal before the class, Epler asks that you call by this evening at (913) 294-4306.
